Wouldn't it be great if your parents taught you how to hold your own in a fag-eat-fag world? Rod Gay and Bob Gay-Paris are the streetwise gay mentors you never had. Come revel in the raunchy wisdom they pass along to their two gay sons -- Alex and Tommy -- advice that will empower the boys to bend the world over, lube it up, and snap one off!

THE GAYS is New York-based indie writer/director T.S. Slaughter's second feature, following the release of his darkly comic gay slasher SKULL & BONES (Ariztical Entertainment, 2009).

JANUARY 2012
We are finally approaching the end of over a year's post-production work. The picture is locked, the trailer is complete, and the theme song has been professionally recorded. All that's left to do is ADR (i.e., re-recording actors' voices in a sound studio) for a couple of scenes and then final sound design and sound mix. We are hoping to wrap the entire film and have a final cut to screen mid-February. Meanwhile, we are shopping the film to potential distributors. Ideally, THE GAYS will play at a few gay and underground film festivals, perhaps enjoy a short limited theatrical release, and then make its way to DVD and digital download via Netflix within the coming year.

Filmmaking, especially low-budget indie filmmaking, is necessarily a highly collaborative undertaking. As writer and director, therefore, I have been so pleased with all the fantastic artistic talent we found in New York -- from our zany, funny actors to our lovely editor, Jeanne Diehlman, to our visionary Director of Photography, Puto Jones, to our tireless Producer, Paul Serrano. It has been a real honor and pleasure to be able to work with such a fine and intensely motivated group of people on this project, and I am grateful to all who contributed. -- T. S. Slaughter
